Paper mache and me
I had an unforgettable encounter with Paper Mache. It was a small sculpture of a pig that had been displayed in an art museum and that I came across more than 15 years ago.
There wasn't anything particularly unusual or outlandish about the pig. It was in a transparent box and could be seen from all directions.
The object was of a leather-like texture and an adorable shape, along with an expression that makes you want to just stare at it, conveying the artist's love, gentle gaze, and playfulness.
Although I have visited the museum many times since then. I have never seen this sculpture again. But it remains in my heart forever.
I would like to be able to create such wonderful paper mache works that will remain in the heart of others.
